JUDGMENT/ORDER : VIJAY BISHNOI, J. This writ petition has been filed by the petitioners with the following prayers :— “It is, therefore, humbly prayed that this writ petition may kindly be allowed while passed the necessary order, writ or direction that - 1. The respondent authorities may kindly be directed to provide appropriate protection to the petitioners at their native place. 2. The respondent authorities and the respondent No. 4 to 6 and others may kindly be directed not to harass and chase to the petitioners in any manner. 3. That the respondent No.2 and 3 may kindly be restrained from interfering in matrimonial life of the petitioners, in case of lodging any report or case, before the respondent No. 3 as well as competent authority of State Govt. 4. Any other writ order or direction, which is favourable to the petitioners, may kindly be passed, as an alternative relief. 5. Cost of the writ petition may kindly be awarded to the petitioners. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the petitioners are major and as per their own will have married to each other but the family members of the petitioners are annoyed with their marriage and had threatened them with dire consequences, therefore, adequate police protection be provided to the petitioners. 3. After considering the arguments advanced by learned counsel for the petitioners and after taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is of the opinion that if the petitioners are having any apprehension regarding their life and liberty from the relatives of the petitioners, they may move appropriate representation before the Superintendent of Police, Sri. Ganganagar narrating their grievance. 4. It is expected that if any such representation is moved on behalf of the petitioners, the Superintendent of Police, Sri. Ganganagar shall consider the same and after analysing the threat perceptions, if requires so, may pass necessary orders. 5. It is made clear that this order is not a proof of age and the marriage of the petitioners and any observations in this order shall not affect any criminal and civil proceedings initiated against the petitioners at the instances of their relatives. 6. With these observations, this writ petition is disposed of. Stay petition also stands disposed of.
