ORDER : 1. Mr. P. Senthilvel, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. 3. The petitioner seeks for a direction to the 2nd respondent to transfer patta in the petitioner's name with respect to the petitioner's property comprised in S.No.196/3B situated at Agaramthen, Tambaram Taluk, Kancheepuram District, within the time frame to be fixed by this Court. 4. The grievance of the petitioner is that though he has purchased the property as early as in the year 1990 and made several representations seeking for transfer of patta which has not been considered so far. It is seen that last of such representation was made on 15.06.2017. 5. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner as it is for the 2nd respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. However, considering the fact that the petitioner has made several representations from the year 2008 and the last of such representation was made on 15.06.2017 which has not been considered so far, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 15.096.2017 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the rival claimants, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the 2nd respondent within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
