JUDGMENT : 1. Learned senior counsel for the petitioners submits that despite directions given by the Division Bench of this Court on 20th September, 2016 in Paragraph No. 12 of the order and though the petitioners had filed as many as 34 appeals, the appeals have not been decided till today. It is also submitted that the appeals are pending before the Appellate Authority for the past more than two years and the status report filed on behalf of the respondents also discloses that the appeals are under adjudication before the Appellate Authority. It is also pointed out that orders of assessments have not been passed. 2. On the other hand, Mr. Rohit Kapoor, learned AAG submits that the appeals shall be decided by the Appellate Authority within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order passed today. It is further submitted that the formal orders of assessment shall also be passed within the same period. 3. In view of the aforesaid submissions, this application is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to decide the appeals within the period of three weeks as well as to pass formal orders of assessment within the same time period. The concerned authority shall supply copy of the orders charging entry tax, if not already supplied, to the petitioners. The non-compliance of the directions contained in this order shall be viewed seriously. 4. Needless to state that, in case the directions contained in this order are not complied with, the petitioners would be at liberty to inform this Court with regard to non-compliance. 5. With the aforesaid directions, the application is disposed of. 6. Let copy of this order under the seal and signatures of the Bench Secretary of this Court be supplied to Mr. Rohit Kapoor, learned AAG.
