JUDGMENT : 1. With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the matter is heard finally. 2. When the matter was taken up today, learned counsel for the respondents seeks adjournment on the ground that despite communication sent to the Law Department, the Law Department has not taken any action to nominate the retired District and Sessions Judges as Chairperson of the Committee for inspection of the institutes in Jammu and Kashmir regions. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioners has invited our attention to the directions contained in the order dated 30.12.2015 passed by the Division Bench and submits that as per order dated 30.12.2015, the respondents were supposed to constitute a Committee within one week, however, despite three academic sessions have passed, no action has been taken. 4. In view of the fact that academic session has commenced, we are of the considered view that no useful purpose will be served by keeping this contempt petition pending on board, the same is disposed of by directing that Mr. Dev Raj Sharma and Mr. Mohd Shafi Khan, retired Principal District Judges shall be the Chairpersons for Jammu and Kashmir Divisions respectively. Thereafter, the respondents shall within five days from today, shall co-opt two members of the committee respectively. The respondents shall also ensure that the committee shall inspect the premises of the petitioners immediately. 5. With the aforesaid directions, the contempt petition is disposed of. Needless to state that the petitioners shall be at liberty to seek revival of the contempt petition, if cause survives. 6. Let a copy of this order be provided to the learned counsel for the respondents under the seal and signature of the Bench Secretary.
