JUDGMENT : 1. The petitioners through the medium of this writ petition are seeking mandamus to the respondents to take a final decision with regard to their claim for pay parity with the Sanitary Inspectors of the department. It is claimed by the petitioners that they have been working in the department in different capacities, like X-Ray, Laboratory, Dental Theater Assistants/Technicians etc. and earlier their pay scale was identical to the pay scale provided for Sanitary Inspectors of the department, however, subsequently the pay of the Sanitary Inspectors was enhanced and they were placed in the pay scale of Rs. 6500-10200 (pre-revised) vide Government Order No. 548-HME of 1994 dated 25th August, 1994. The petitioners claim that they have been agitating their grievance before the authorities since then and the matter has also been placed before the Pay Anomaly Committee, which is seized of the matter but no final decision in the matter has been taken by the Competent Authority. 2. The petitioners further claim that in similar set of circumstances, some persons had filed writ petitions in Srinagar Wing of this Court, which were disposed of by the learned Single Judge of this Court vide order dated 1st June, 2016 whereby direction was given to the respondents to take a final decision on the claim made by the petitioners, more particularly the representation made by them. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioners would feel satisfied, if similar direction is issued to the respondents as was issued vide order dated 1st June, 2016 in SWP No. 950/2004 and other clubbed matters by the learned Single Judge of this Court. 3. In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent No. 1 to take a final decision on the claim made by the petitioners with regard to pay parity with Sanitary Inspectors of the Department in whose case up-gradation was ordered by the Government vide Government Order No. 548-HME of 1994 dated 25th August, 1994. Needless to say that needful shall be done by respondent No. 1 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of this order. 4. With the aforesaid observations, this writ petition is disposed of alongwith connected MPs.
