JUDGMENT Mrs. Anita Chaudhry, J.:- The petitioner is seeking regular bail in FIR No. 105 dated 25.7.2017 registered at Police Station Jaitu, District Faridkot under Sections 306, 34 IPC. 2. Counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner is the father-in-law and he is in custody since 4.10.2017 and is 75 years old and investigation has been completed and charge has been framed and the trial has started. Counsel submits that charge has been framed under Section 306 IPC and the FIR would show that the daughter-in-law had been given a separate portion and those were independent quarters and the husband lives in Saudi Arabia and the trial would take time. 3. On the other hand, State counsel submits that there are allegations that the girl was beaten and there were injuries and she was living in the same house and no allegations have been made against the husband. 4. The incident has occurred 12 years after the marriage. The petitioner is the father-in-law. He is 75 years old. As per the contents of the FIR, the deceased was living separately from the in-laws in a separate portion of the same house. 5. Without commenting anything on the merits of the case and considering the age of the petitioner and the fact that the trial will take time to conclude, the petition is allowed and the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his furnishing local surety and adequate bonds to the satisfaction of the trial Court/Duty Magistrate.
