JUDGMENT Shree Chandrashekhar, J. – A copy of letter dated 02.04.2018 of the Department of School Education and Literacy is taken on record. 2. Prayer in this batch of writ petitions is for a direction upon the respondent-State to pay leave encashment to the petitioners. 3. Mr. Rajiv Anand, the learned GA-IV who appears in W.P.(S) No.7348 of 2017 states that in view of the decision in "Mariyam Tirkey vs. State of Jharkhand & Ors.,2014 1 JBCJ 465 [HC]" the State Empowered Committee in its meeting held on 16.02.2018 has taken a decision to pay leave encashment to all such teachers who are entitled for the same. 4. Accordingly, these writ petitions stand allowed with a direction to the concerned District Superintendent of Education/ District Education Officer to take steps for payment of leave encashment to these petitioners within six weeks, upon verification of their service records.
