JUDGMENT : AJIT SINGH, J. 1. Mr. P.D. Nair and Mr. H. Rohman, learned counsel for the appellants. Mr. G.N. Sahewalla, learned senior counsel assisted by Mr. N. Anix Singh, learned counsel for Respondent No.1 to 5. 2. Mr. J. Roy and Mr. S. Borthakur, learned counsel for Respondents No.6 and 7. Mr. R. Dhar, learned Additional Senior Government Advocate, Assam for Respondent No.8. Mr. Y. Doloi, learned counsel for Respondent No.9. 3. Learned counsel for the appellants instead of pressing the appeal on merit has prayed that the learned Single Judge be requested to hear and decide the writ petition itself on an early date. 4. To this prayer, the respective counsel for the respondents have readily agreed. We, accordingly, dismiss the appeal as withdrawn, but with a request to the learned Single Judge to hear and decide the writ petition on an early date. Needless to mention that the respondents shall file their affidavits-in-opposition within two weeks in the writ petition.
