JUDGMENT : The petitioner complains of perfunctory investigation into the death of a person. 2. Report as called for by the order dated December 18, 2017 filed in Court be kept with the record. 3. Dead body was found on September 17, 2015. Till date, the Investigating Authority presently in charge has not been able to identify the persons who are involved in the death of the person concerned. The petitioner is unhappy with regard to the progress of the investigation. 4. Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that, during the investigation, three persons were apprehended and they are presently enlarged on bail. 5. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that, charge sheet is yet to be filed. 6. In view of the conduct of the investigation as noted above, it would be appropriate to transfer the investigation to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). The Criminal Investigation Department is requested to take up the investigation. 7. W.P.14482 (W) OF 2017 is disposed of without any order as to costs. 8. Urgent certified website copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance of the requisite formalities.
