JUDGMENT : MAHABIR SINGH SINDHU, J. 1. Present petition has been filed praying for quashing FIR No.152 dated 14.08.2016, under Sections 420 and 120-B, IPC, registered at Police Station E Division, Amritsar, on the basis of compromise entered into between the parties. 2. Complainant/respondent No.2-Rajinder Kaur w/o Bhupinder Singh is present in Court and she is duly identified by learned Counsel for the petitioners. Photocopy of her Aadhaar Card is retained in the Court file and marked as 'X'. 3. It is jointly stated by learned Counsel for the petitioners as well as respondent No.2 that the matter has been compromised and in terms of order dated 25.07.2017, the statements of both the parties were recorded and report to that effect has been received from learned Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Amritsar, which, inter alia, states that the compromise has been effected between the parties and the same is genuine and without any pressure. Even before this Court also, there is no objection in case the FIR and the consequent proceedings are quashed and set aside. 4. Even learned State Counsel, on instructions from ASI Satinder Pal Singh, has stated that he has no objection in case the FIR is quashed and set aside. 5. Consequently, the aforesaid FIR and all consequent proceedings resulting therefrom, qua petitioners only, are quashed and set aside. Petition is allowed.
