JUDGMENT Shree Chandrashekhar, J. - Initially this writ petition was filed challenging order dated 29.06.2007 by which the petitioner was transferred from the post of District Transport Officer, Hazaribagh to the Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasha. 2. The respondent-State has claimed that the petitioner was repatriated to his parent cadre. The respondent no. 6 was posted in place of the petitioner and subsequently respondent no. 6 was replaced by one Ram Lakhan Prasad Gupta, application for whose impleadment as respondent no. 7 was dismissed. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner has now superannuated from service. 4. An order of transfer does not affect a person; it is neither a punishment nor considered stigmatic. A government employee cannot claim a particular post or a particular place of posting as a matter of right. 5. In the above facts finding no substance in the writ petition, it is dismissed. 6. I.A. No. 1484 of 2010 stands disposed of.
