JUDGMENT : Daya Chaudhary, J. The prayer in the present petition is to extend the period of parole from 21.03.2018 to 07.05.2018. Petitioner was granted parole for a period of 42 days by the jail authorities vide order dated 06.02.2018 and that period is going to expire on 21.03.2018. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that earlier parole was for repair of the house and to look after the agricultural activities and extension of parole has been sought on the ground that wife of the petitioner is on the family way and presence of the petitioner is required during period of delivery. The doctor has given the expected date of delivery as 28.04.2018. 3. To extend the period of parole for the purpose of delivery of the wife of the petitioner is a separate cause of action as earlier parole was for repair of the house and to look after the agricultural activities. The petitioner is at liberty to move fresh application to the jail authorities for the cause which has been mentioned in the present petition. In case such application is moved within a period of two weeks from the date of surrender before the jail authorities, the respondent-authorities are directed to take action thereupon in accordance with law within a period of two weeks thereafter. 4. However, the petitioner is directed to surrender before the jail authorities after expiry of the period of parole which has been granted to him. Disposed of.
