JUDGMENT : 1. Heard. The learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that the Respondent has filed affidavit dated 19.06.2018 duly affirmed by Mr. Charmie Parekh, Dy. Collector (HQ) stating that, as no award was passed in the acquisition proceedings, the proceedings have lapsed. He further submits that they will complete the acquisition proceedings as per the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 within one year from today. Said affidavit is taken on record and marked “X” for identification. 2. The learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that in view of the affidavit dated 19.06.2018 filed by the Dy. Collector (HQ), the Petitioner may be permitted to withdraw the Writ Petition with liberty to file afresh, if needed. 3. Considering these facts, following order is passed : a. The Respondent No.1 is directed to comply with the statement made by them on solemn affirmation in the affidavit dated 19.06.2018 within one year from today. b. The Writ Petition stands disposed of as withdrawn with liberty as prayed for.
