Sapna Arora v. State Of Punjab

2018-10-12

KURIAN JOSEPH, S.ABDUL NAZEER

body2018
ORDER 1. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that despite the stay granted by this Court, the trial court is insisting for the presence of the parties. We fail to understand the logic behind such a practice, if the submission of the learned counsel is correct. 2. We make it clear that since the proceedings are stayed, there is no need for the parties to be in Court till the stay is vacated or modified by the Court, which granted the stay. We request the Registrar General of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana to issue a clarification in that regard to all the courts in the States. 3. The Registrar (Judicial-I) is directed to communicate a copy of this order to the Registrar General of the High Court forthwith.
