JUDGMENT : Mahabir Singh Sindhu, J. Present petition has been filed praying for quashing of FIR No.202 dated 14.10.2016 (Annexure P-1), under Sections 323 and 324 of the Indian Penal Code, registered at Police Station Kotwali Patiala, District Patiala along with all consequential proceedings arising therefrom on the basis of compromise dated 17.06.2017 (Annexure P-2) entered into between the parties. 2. In terms of order dated 11.10.2017, passed by this Court, the statements of both the parties have been recorded by the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Patiala and submitted a report dated 18.12.2017. The relevant part of the report reveals that the compromise entered into between the parties is genuine, voluntary and without any coercion or undue influence. Even before this Court also, there is no objection by either of the parties in case the FIR is quashed. Even learned State Counsel, on instructions from the police official present in the Court, has also no objection in case the aforesaid FIR as well as all other consequential proceedings are quashed on the basis of the compromise effected between the parties in this case. 3. In view of above, this Court is fully convinced that the quashing of the FIR along with all consequential proceedings will be in the interest of justice as well as in the interest of the parties. Consequently, the present petition is allowed and the aforesaid FIR along with all consequential proceedings resulting therefrom are quashed qua the petitioner. 4. Disposed off accordingly.
