JUDGMENT : Amol Rattan Singh, J. 1. The petitioner, who is present in Court, seeks protection of her life and liberty at the hands of respondents no.4 and 5, who are stated to be her parents, in view of the fact that she is stated to be in a live-in relationship with the person named in paragraph 4 of the petition, the said relationship being against the wishes of respondents no.4 and 5. 2. The petitioner is shown to be 28 years of age and therefore well into adulthood for the past 10 years, if her age is correctly given as per her affidavit, Annexure P-1. 3. Apparently at least the petitioner is seen to be above 18 years. 4. Consequently, without making any comment on the relationship between the petitioner and the person named in the petition, this petition is disposed of with a direction to respondents No.2 and 3 to ensure that the lives and liberty of the petitioner and in fact also of the person named in paragraph 4 of the petition, are not put to any harm or threat at the hands of the aforesaid respondents or at their behest. 5. It is made clear that though the petitioners' specific contention is that she was never married earlier, if it is found that she is already married or that her live in partner is married, appropriate proceedings by a competent person, alleging therein an offence of adultery etc. would be taken to logical end, with it again however repeated, that the life and liberty of the petitioner would be protected within the four corners of law.
