ORDER 1. We have heard Dr. A.M. Singhvi, learned senior counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner. 2. Learned senior counsel for the petitioner has submitted that criminal appeal is pending since 2015 and in spite of number of applications filed for early hearing, the hearing of the appeal could not be taken up by the Sessions Court. 3. Learned senior counsel submitted that the petitioner has earlier contested the byelection for the Member of Legislative Assembly from the electoral constituency of Kota (South). Learned counsel further submitted that the petitioner is hopeful of getting a ticket for contesting the forthcoming Legislative Assembly Election for the State of Rajasthan. 4. Having regard to above submissions, Issue notice. 5. The conviction of the petitioner in Criminal Regular Case No. 674/07 arising out of FIR 6. No. 475/05 dated 16.06.2005 shall stand suspended until further orders.
