ORDER Leave granted. 2. The appellant is convicted under Sections 7 and 13(2) read with Section 13(1)(d) of the 3. Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and the High Court vide Judgment dated 23.10.2017 while upholding the fine imposed by the trial court modified the sentence to 3 years' Simple Imprisonment for each of the aforementioned offence with a direction that the sentences shall run concurrently. 4. On 12.11.2018, this Court has issued notice limited to the quantum of sentence. 5. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and in view of the facts and circumstances of the case, we deem it expedient to reduce the period of sentence to one year and six months. 6. We order accordingly. 7. The appeal is partly allowed in the aforesaid terms.
