JUDGMENT Pramath Patnaik, J. - Heard Mr. Saurabh Shekhar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Abhay Prakash, A.C to learned A.A.G for the respondents. 2. In the instant writ application, the petitioner has inter alia prayed for direction upon the respondents to forthwith consider the case of the petitioner for his posting as Executive Engineer (Current Charge) and also to consider the case of the petitioner for regular promotion to the post of Executive Engineer and further prayer has been made to forthwith release the benefit of both up-gradations in the pay-scale under Assured Career Progression Scheme. 3. Controverting the averments made in the writ application, a counter affidavit has been filed by the respondents-State. 4. After some argument, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that if a direction is given to dispose of the representation of the petitioner for settling out his claim, as made out in the instant writ application, within a stipulated period of time, the grievance of the petitioner shall be redressed. 5. Learned counsel for the respondents-State did not raise serious dispute to that course of action. 6. In that view of the matter and looking to the limited grievance of the petitioner, without delving into the merit of the matter, it would be apt to dispose of the writ petition with liberty to the petitioner to submit a fresh representation annexing all relevant documents for staking his claim within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order and upon receipt of such representation the respondents, in particular respondent no. 2 is directed to do well to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate order strictly in accordance with law communicating a copy of order upon the petitioner within a period of twelve weeks after receipt of such representation. 7. It is needless to mention here that if the petitioner is found eligible to get any relief, the actual benefit be extended within a period of eight weeks'' thereafter. 8. With the aforesaid direction, the writ application stands disposed of.
