JUDGMENT : Amol Rattan Singh, J. Pursuant to the notice issued on 26.03.2018, learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Harjinder Singh, of Police Station Cheharta, District Amritsar, submits that petitioner no.1 has made a statement before the said official, to the effect that though petitioner no.2 had gone to Germany, she has no grievance against him. 2. Mr. Premjit Kalia, learned counsel appearing for respondents no.4 to 8, who are stated to be the family members of the previous husband of petitioner no.1 (with the said husband stated to have died), submits that the said respondents have no objection to the marriage of the petitioners with each other. 3. That being so, without making any comment on the validity of the marriage or otherwise, this petition only being one seeking protection of life and liberty of the petitioners, it is disposed of with a direction to respondents no.2 and 3 to ensure that the lives and liberty of the petitioners, continue to be protected, within the four corners of law.
