JUDGMENT : AMOL RATTAN SINGH, J. 1. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners wish to withdraw this petition. 2. Dismissed as withdrawn, with the observation that if petitioner no. 2 is actually found to be below marriageable age, as is contended by Ms. Ashima Mor, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for U.T., proceedings under the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006, shall be initiated, such offences being cognizable offences, in terms of Section 15 thereof. 3. Though in the petition, petitioner no. 2 is shown to be 21 years of age, this Court is not either issuing notice of contempt to the petitioners for having misrepresented the age of petitioner no. 2, neither is it directing the proceedings initiated under Section 340 of the Cr.P.C, in view of the young age of the petitioners. 4. However, proceedings under the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006, shall be initiated, as per law.
