JUDGMENT : AMOL RATTAN SINGH, J. 1. By this petition, quashing of FIR No.82, dated 30.04.2005, is sought, registered against the petitioners at Police Station Ajnala, Police District Majitha, District Amritsar, for the alleged commission of offences punishable under Sections 326/323/34 of the IPC, on the basis of a compromise arrived at between the petitioners (accused) and respondent no.2, with him, being the complainant. 2. As already noticed in the order of this Court dated 28.05.2018, the report of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Ajnala, dated 15.11.2017, has been received, stating to the effect that respondent no.2, i.e. the complainant in the FIR in question, as also the petitioners, appeared before that Court and made statements in terms of the compromise reached between them (with the copy of the affidavit of respondent no.2, in support of the compromise, having been annexed as Annexure P-2 with the present petition). 3. The matter had been adjourned for learned State counsel to take instructions as to whether there is any other criminal case registered against the petitioners. 4. Mr. Walia, learned State counsel, submits that he has no information with regard to the above. 5. Consequently, with learned counsel for the petitioners and respondent no.2 submitting that as per their instructions no other such criminal proceedings are pending against the petitioners, and the matter has been duly compromised between the parties, I see no reason not to allow this petition. 6. Consequently, this petition is allowed and FIR No.52 dated 30.04.2005, registered against the petitioners at Police Station Ajnala, Police District Majithia, District Amritsar, alleging therein the commission of offences punishable under Sections 326/323/34 of the IPC, alongwith all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom, is hereby quashed.
