JUDGMENT : Amol Rattan Singh, J. 1. Petitioner no.2 is admitted to have been below the age of 18 years at the time when she got married to petitioner no.1 on 27.07.2017, but as per the date of birth given on the copy of the Aadhar card annexed with the petition as Annexure P-2, she is seen to have completed 18 years of age on 20.12.2017, her date of birth being 20.12.1999. 2. She has also stated in Court today that she wishes to continue with the marriage with petitioner no.1. Further, the first petitioner is shown to have got deposited Rs.1 lac by way of a fixed deposit in the Punjab National Bank, Gharyala, District Tarn Taran, in the name of petitioner no.2. 3. Though as per his statement made in Court on 28.09.2017, he was to deposit Rs.2 lacs, however, the second petitioner having attained majority and she not having so far at least refuted the marriage, this petition is disposed of with a direction to respondents no.2 and 3 to ensure that the lives and liberty of the petitioners continue to be protected, at the hands of the private respondents or any other person, within the four corners of law. 4. However, it is made clear that if any of the averments made in the petition is found to be incorrect, specifically with regard to either the petitioners being in any prohibited relationship to each other, or as regards their previous marital status, or with regard to their age, this order shall not be construed to be a bar on any proceedings initiated by a competent person as per law.
