Petitioner seeks concession of emergency parole for a period of 4 weeks to enable him to solemnize the marriage of his daughter which is stated to be fixed for 31.1.2018. 3. The petition for parole has been opposed, inter alia, on the ground that the appellant being a hard core criminal having undergone sentence of imprisonment only for a period of 4 years, 9 months and 10 days, would not be entitled for release on parole under Section 5-A (2) of the Haryana Good Conduct Prisoners (Temporary Release) Act, 1988. However, in the affidavit of Superintendent, District Jail, Karnal, submitted in the Court, the factum of marriage of daughter of the petitioner namely For Subsequent orders see IOIN-CRWP-59-2018 Rupinder Kaur to be solemnised on 31.1.2018 at Village Mahmudur, P.S. Sadar, Panipat, is verified. 4. Taking into consideration the relationship of the petitioner with Rupinder Kaur whose marriage is fixed for 31.1.2018, irrespective of the statutory right of the petitioner for parole, in the interest of justice, the petition is allowed. It is ordered that the sentence of imprisonment of petitioner will remain suspended for a period of about one week i.e. from 25.1.2018 to 1.2.2018, on his furnishing bail bond in the sum of Rs. 2 lac with a surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Panipat. An additional condition is imposed that the petitioner, during the period of interim temporary parole, will not leave the jurisdiction of Districts Panipat and Karnal. Petitioner shall be released on receipt of release order and would be required to surrender on 2.2.2018 in the District Jail, Karnal. 5. For a report regarding petitioner having surrendered on 2.2.2018, to come up on 6.2.2018.
