JUDGMENT : 1. Pursuant to the directions passed by this Court on 27.02.2018 and 01.06.2018, respondent Nos. 1 & 2 had been directed to file the separate affidavits, indicating therein as to what steps had been taken with regard to 09 agenda items, which were discussed in the meeting held on 20.03.2018, convened in the office chamber of the Registrar General of the High Court. 2. The petitioner No. 1 appearing in person submits that the progress shown with regard to the agenda Nos. 1 to 8 is satisfactory. However, with regard to the agenda item No. 9, he submits that the view adopted by the Government related to the issue of removal of pay anomaly by the Pay Anomaly Committee is erroneous. 3. It was urged that the issue was not so much with regard to the removal of pay anomaly between the J&K High Court Staff inter se, as much as it was pertaining to bringing the staff at par with the staff of other High Courts like Delhi and Punjab & Haryana High Court. 4. While the Committee to which the matter has been referred by the Government may proceed to determine the issue, it should not be lost sight of the fact that the anomaly issue has to be one dealt with from the angle of bringing about uniformity in the pay-scale of the High Court employees with those working in the High Court of Delhi & Punjab & Haryana High Court. 5. The Registrar General of this High Court already appears to have conveyed a communication dated 28.12.2017 to the Secretary to Government, Department of Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs, Civil Secretariat, Jammu with regard to the scales of pay being enjoyed by the employees of other High Courts. In addition to that, Registrar General, also appears to have sent another communication dated 21.07.2018, clarifying therein the factual position with regard to the pay scales of the employees of the High Court of Delhi & Punjab and Haryana. 6. Let an appropriate decision be taken by the Government in terms of communication dated 28.12.2017 read with communication dated 21.07.2018 and the result thereof be conveyed to this office positively on or before the next date of hearing. The respondents shall also submit a detailed status report with regard to the further action taken with regard to agenda item Nos.
