JUDGMENT : Mahabir Singh Sindhu, J. Petitioner has filed the present petition for seeking permission to attend the marriage ceremony of his cousin sister on 19.02.2018 in the custody of Guard/police personnel. 2. It is contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that marriage of cousin sister of petitioner is fixed for 19.02.2018 and he is ready to pay the expenses of the security personnel in case the petitioner is granted liberty to attend the marriage in policy custody. He also submits that the petitioner undertakes to deposit the expenses of police personnel and vehicle etc., who will be deputed with him. 3. Notice of motion. 4. On the asking of the Court, Mr. Harbir Sandhu, AAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent. 5. After hearing the learned counsel for the parties and perusing the paper-book, the present petition is disposed of with the directions that the petitioner will deposit a sum of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with the Jail Authorities and on doing so, the respondent will make necessary police arrangements and take the petitioner to attend the marriage function of his cousin sister and thereafter, in the evening the petitioner will be lodged in jail on 19.02.2018.
