ORDER : 1. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that certain amounts are due in respect of the land acquired from the petitioner. 2. We direct the Land Acquisition Collector to disburse the compensation amount to the respondent. We make it clear that this will not stand in the way of the petitioner taking recourse to other remedies available under the Land Acquisition Act for enhancement of compensation etc. within two months from today. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the State submits that steps for auction sale of the attached property have not yet been successful. It is for the State to take further steps in respect of the attached property in accordance with law. 4. The respondent/State shall file a Status Report in respect of the action taken on the land and the amount received from the Land Acquisition Collector etc. within a period of 8 weeks. 5. In case, the State has encashed any Bank Guarantee, such details should also be furnished in the Status Report. 6. Interim order granted by this Court in favour of the petitioner will continue to operate until further orders. 7. List on 12.07.2018.
