JUDGMENT 1. This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking direction against the respondents by questioning the result of the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), wherein the petitioner has failed. 2. It is inter alia indicated in the writ petition that the petitioner participated in the Constable recruitment, wherein, in the PET, the petitioner had completed the 5km run in 25 minutes, however, it was told to him that he has taken 25 minutes 6 seconds and, therefore, he has failed in the PET. 3. It is submitted that the video recording of the said event be called and/or the petitioner may be accorded another opportunity to participate in the PET. 4. A reply to the writ petition has been filed by the respondents inter alia indicating that the allegations made in the petition are baseless. Alongwith the reply, the respondents have produced the result of the day, wherein, the name of the petitioner has been indicated as chest No. 1899 and starting time, finishing time & net time alongwith laps have been indicated, wherein, the petitioner has completed the said run in 25 minutes 6 seconds, which was beyond the stipulated time of 25 minutes, based on which, the petitioner has failed in the test. 5. Except for the bald submissions made in the writ petition by indicating that the petitioner has completed the run within stipulated time, no further material has been placed on record and admittedly the respondents have placed on record the result based on an electronic chip which was placed on the feet of the petitioner like all the candidates, which have recorded the time and based on the said recording, once it is found that the petitioner has taken more time than the stipulated time, there is no reason to disbelieve the said result. 6. In view of the above discussion, no cause for interference is made out. The writ petition has no substance, the same is, therefore, dismissed.
