JUDGMENT : Shekher Dhawan, J. Present petition under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure is for grant of regular bail in case bearing FIR No.15 dated 10.01.2018 (Annexure P/1) under Sections 420 and 120-B IPC and Sections 4 and 5 of Prize Chits and Money Circulation Schemes Act, 1978 registered at Police Station City Sangrur, District Sangrur. 2. Allegations against the present petitioner are the accused used to allure the general public to invest money in their Society by making false claims that their Society would give higher rate of interest as well as other benefits. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that the petitioner is in custody since 3.7.2018 and challan has already been presented in this case. The trial of this case still to take some more time. So, the petitioner be released from custody in this case as no purpose would be served by keeping the petitioner behind the bars 4. Learned State counsel has opposed the bail application on the ground that the allegations against the petitioner are serious. So, the petitioner be not granted the benefit of bail. 5. Having considered the submissions made by learned counsel for the parties and appraisal of record of this case file, this Court is of the considered view that as the petitioner is behind the bars since 3.7.2018 and challan has already been presented in this case, no purpose would be served by keeping the petitioner behind the bars. 6. Resultantly, the present petition stands allowed and petitioner, Pardeep Singh is ordered to be released on regular bail subject to his furnishing bail bonds/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the trial Court/Chief Judicial Magistrate/Duty Magistrate concerned.
