JUDGMENT : 1. Counsel appearing for the Medical Council of India Shri Angad Mirdha, submits that Government of India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare after consultation with the Medical Council of India has extended the last date of filling of the vacancies in MD/MS/Diploma Courses for the Academic Year 2019-2020 PAN India. The order has been issued on 28.05.2019 and the Medical Council of India is on the process of uploading the same on its website as on today. 2. In tune of the aforesaid order, the State Government is required to conduct an another round of counselling for the remaining PG Seats for Admission for the Session 2019-2020. The counselling by the State Authorities has to be conducted upto 31.05.2019 and accordingly the earlier schedule hence stands amended. 3. The Government of India represented by the ASG submits that the decision is to be placed before the Supreme Court also regarding the extension of time. The decision has been taken so that the valuable seats may not be wasted. The order dated 28.05.2019 is taken on record. 4. The petitioners have approached before this Court stating that 26 seats are lying vacant with them for the PG Course Session 2019-2020 onwards. These seats could not be filled in the MOP-UP round conducted by the State Government earlier. 5. Having noted the aforesaid order dated 28.05.2019, the State Authorities are directed to issue a public notice in the newspapers as well as on its website and conduct counselling accordingly for the vacant seats lying in any of the Medical Colleges including the petitioners College and students would be given last opportunity. However, if any seats remain vacant, the same will not be filled by any other method. The State Authorities are cautioned to conduct the said exercise on or before 31.05.2019 and strictly in accordance with merit and option put up by the students. The students would also be required to submit their documents relating to admission before the counselling authorities itself and the admission shall be treated as having been given on 31.05.2019 itself. The State Authorities shall thereafter send the documents to the concerned Colleges accordingly.

It would be also notified in the notice that the students shall keep ready the fees also which may be deposited by the State Authorities itself on that day and to be transmitted to the respective Colleges subsequently alongwith the documents relating to the admission. The procedure as has been followed earlier during MOP-UP round shall be followed in the same manner. 6. With the said observations, the writ petition stands disposed of.
