JUDGMENT Dharam Chand Chaudhary, J. - In this writ petition, a direction has been sought to be issued to the respondents to deposit the amount of compensation in respect of the acquired land. On the previous date, following order came to be passed in this writ petition:- "Consequent upon the order passed on the previous date, respondent No.4 is present in person. Learned Assistant Solicitor General of India has placed on record the sanction order dated 4.11.2019, which reveals that a sum of Rs. 12,60,58,023/- (Rupees Twelve Crore Sixty Lakh Fifty Eight Thousand twenty three only) has been sanctioned for payment to the petitioner and is in the process of being deposited before the Collector. Let the amount in question be deposited within four weeks. List alongwith CWP No. 677/2019 on 11th December, 2019." 2. Consequently, learned Assistant Solicitor General of India has placed on record the written instructions. Annexure ''3'' thereto reveals that a sum of Rs.10,00,00,000/-(Rupees ten crores), out of total Rs.12,60,58,023/- (Rupees Twelve Crore Sixty Lakh Fifty Eight Thousand twenty three only) stands deposited in the office of Collector, Sub-Division, Dalhousie, District Chamba vide cheque No. 611524 dated 5.12.2019. The written instructions further reveal that the remaining amount shall be deposited within four months from today i.e. during the next financial year. In this view of the matter, the writ petition can be disposed of. 3. Learned counsel representing the petitioner though has insisted for keeping this writ petition pending, however, without any justification therefor. The writ petition, as such, is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to deposit the remaining amount on or before 30.04.2020. The liberty to the petitioner to seek revival of the writ petition in case the amount in question is not deposited within the time granted. Pending application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of.
