JUDGMENT : Debangsu Basak, J. The petitioner seeks a direction upon the police authorities to accept the cost for police picket. 2. State and the private respondents are represented. 3. This is second writ petition at the behest of the writ petitioner. The first writ petition being, W. P. No.4504 (W) of 2018 was disposed of by an order dated July 9, 2018 after recording a finding that, the petitioner did not approach the police for payment of cost. 4. Learned advocate appearing for the private respondent submits that, there were two orders in the earlier writ petition. In the event, the Court is pleased to direct the police picket to be posted, then, the private respondent will be ousted from possession. 5. The private respondent was present in the earlier writ petition. There are two orders passed in such writ petition one order dated June 25, 2018 and the other dated July 9, 2018. On both the occasions, the private respondents were represented. 6. By the order dated July 9, 2018 disposing of the writ petition, the Court observed that, since, the petitioner did not approach the police authorities for payment of cost, such relief cannot be granted at that stage. 7. The petitioner is entitled to police picket, upon payment of requisite cost. 8. Learned advocate appearing for the State submits on written instructions that some more time is required to assess the cost to inform the petitioner about the same. 9. In such circumstances, the police authorities will assess the cost payable by the petitioner within a period of seven days from date. Immediately on deposit of such cost, the police will extend the assistance as sought for by the petitioner. 10. W. P. No.1783 (W) of 2019 is disposed of. 11. No order as to costs. 12. Urgent certified website copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance of the requisite formalities.
