ORDER 1. Leave granted. 2. The appellant was convicted under Sections 7 and 13(2) read with Section 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. He was sentenced to suffer imprisonment for two years and three years respectively on the aforesaid two counts. 3. On 03.12.2018, this Court had issued notice confined to the question of sentence to be imposed on the appellant. 4. We have heard Mr. S. Nagamuthu, learned senior counsel for the appellant and Mr. Yogesh Kanna, learned counsel for the respondent. 5. Having considered the entirety of the matter, in our view, ends of justice would be met if the sentence is reduced to one year of actual imprisonment on aforesaid two counts. 6. While maintaining the conviction, we reduce the sentence to one year each on the aforesaid two counts. The sentences shall run concurrently. 7. This criminal appeal stands disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
