JUDGMENT : Shashi Kant Gupta and Piyush Agrawal, JJ. 1. Heard the learned counsel for the parties and perused the record. 2. This writ petition has been filed, inter alia, for the following relief: "Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents to allow the petitioner to ply the truck No. UP 70 GT-032 purchased by him from Tata Motors which was financed by the respondent No. 2 and do not create hindrance in running transport business." 3. A perusal of record shows that the petitioner is seeking direction against the respondent No. 2, which is a private company. 4. Since the petitioner, in substance, is seeking relief against the private respondent, the present writ petition is not maintainable. 5. However, the petitioner may, if so advised, take appropriate proceedings for redressal of his grievance before the common law court in accordance with law. 6. With the above observation, the writ petition stands disposed of.
