JUDGMENT Sujit Narayan Prasad, J. - This writ petition has been filed for providing adequate Security/police protection as also the Arm licence for keeping revolver. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner has tried to impress the Court that the life of the petitioner is on threat and there is a report of the criminal investigation department to that effect also as for one instance, he has instituted an FIR against the persons, who have tried to assault in order to kill him and, therefore, apprehending threat upon his life he has made representation before the licensing authority, Superintendent of Police as well as Deputy Commissioner of the District to provide adequate security and licence to keep revolver or pistol. 3. The grievance of the petitioner is that although the said representation is lying pending since long time, but decision has not yet been taken. 4. Learned counsel for the State has submitted that the writ petition may be disposed of directing the concerned authority to take decision on the pending representation, if any, in accordance with law. 5. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration to the effect that the petitioner has already been ventilated his grievance before the competent authorities of the District for redressal of his grievance, which according to the petitioner has not been decided. 6. Therefore, it would be appropriate to direct the concern authorities, since the grievance of the petitioner is lying pending before the authorities concerned to take decision within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order in accordance with law. 7. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of.
