JUDGMENT : Tejinder Singh Dhindsa, J. The instant writ petition has been filed seeking the issuance of direction to the respondents authorities to implement and fulfill the commitments given to the farmers in the State of Punjab, during the assembly and Parliament elections. 2. The prayer raised in the petition is founded upon an election manifesto that has been circulated by the political parties concerned. 3. This Court is of the considered view that a writ of mandamus would not be issued to implement such assurances/commitments if any. 4. Writ petition is wholly misconceived and is dismissed.
