JUDGMENT : 1. The non-selection of the writ petitioner under Scheduled Caste Women Category for appointment to the post of Drawing Teacher, is under challenge in the present writ petition. 2. The learned counsel for the writ petitioner states that the writ petitioner had participated in the process of selection for recruitment to the post of Drawing Teacher. 3. The writ petitioner secured 43 marks in the written examination. However, she was not selected. 4. The learned counsel, appearing on behalf of the writ petitioner, states that the names of Scheduled Caste Women candidates, who secured lesser mark than that of the writ petitioner, were included in the final select list. Thus, the case of the writ petitioner is also to be considered for selection and for appointment to the post of Drawing Teacher. 5. In this regard, the learned counsel for the writ petitioner referred to the selection list published by the respondent on 23.9.2017, which is enclosed in Page No.15 of the typed set of papers filed along with this writ petition. The said selection list was published for 'Certificate Verification'. 6. The name of the writ petitioner has not been included in the said selection list. The writ petitioner referred to Serial Nos.626 and 627, wherein the candidates have secured 39 marks. 7. Citing the above marks, the learned counsel for the writ petitioner states that the writ petitioner secured 43 marks and therefore, her name ought to have been included in the select list. 8. The learned Additional Advocate General, appearing on behalf of the respondent, disputed the contentions of the learned counsel for the writ petitioner by stating that the cases referred to by the writ petitioner in Serial Nos.626 and 627 are different category and the writ petitioner cannot seek inclusion of her name in the select list based on that category. In Serial No.626, Roll No.17ST06020209 Ms.Thilagavathi, Scheduled Caste candidate was selected under the turn 'SC W T DW' and in Serial No.627, Roll No.17ST25020047, Ms.Hemalatha was selected under the turn 'SCG EX'. 9. The writ petitioner is coming under 'SC-Women Category' and as far as the Scheduled Caste Women Category is concerned, the cut off mark is 51'. 10. Referring to Serial Nos.616 and 617, it is clearly stated that cut off mark for Scheduled Caste-Women Category is 51'.
