JUDGMENT Rekha Mittal, J. - Kirandeep Kaur, petitioner prays for grant of regular bail pertaining to FIR No.0298 dated 27.07.2019 registered at Police Station City Barnala, District Barnala for offence punishable under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code. Heard. Notice of motion to the Advocate General, Punjab. Ms. Samina Dhir, DAG, Punjab, appears on behalf of the State of Punjab. 2. Counsel for the petitioner would argue that the accused is in custody since 15.02.2020. Challan has been presented in the Court and conclusion of trial is likely to take some time. He would further submit that during preliminary inquiry, it was found that a meager amount of Rs.39,000/- out of Rs.5 lakhs involved in the case had been paid to the petitioner. The last submission made by counsel is that the petitioner is ready to face trial without any default. 3. Counsel representing the State of Punjab has opposed the application for bail but did not contest correctness of submissions made by counsel for the petitioner. 4. The offence for which the petitioner has been charge sheeted is triable by the Judicial Magistrate. The petitioner is no longer required for the purpose of investigation. The law is more liberal with regard to grant of bail to a woman. There is no allegation that petitioner does not have a permanent place of stay or likely to flee from process of justice, in case released on bail. 5. Without meaning to express any opinion on merits of the case, bail to the petitioner subject to her furnishing bail bonds to the satisfaction of Illaqa/Duty Magistrate, Barnala. However, she shall abide by the following conditions: - (i) She shall not, directly or indirectly, make any inducement, threat or promise to any person acquainted with the facts of the case so as to dissuade him/her from disclosing such facts to the Court or to any police officer; and (ii)She shall not leave India without previous permission of the Court.
