JUDGMENT M.S.Sonak, J. - Heard Mr. Galileo Teles, learned Advocate for the petitioner. Mr. D. Pangam, learned Advocate General, appears with Ms. Ankita Kamat, learned Addl. Government Advocate for the respondent nos.1 and 4 and Mr. Pankaj Vernekar with Mr. B. Faterpekar, learned Advocates for the respondent no.3- Panchayat. 2. We issue Rule and make the Rule returnable forthwith at the request and with the consent of the learned Counsel for the parties. 3. The petitioner has applied for the trade licence to the respondent no. 3-Panchayat. Since the same was not granted, the petitioner has instituted proceedings before the Director of Panchayats. This proceedings were disposed off by order dated 15.10.2015 with directions to the Panchayat to issue fresh licence. The order of the Director of Panchayats was challenged before the Revisional Authority who has since dismissed the revision vide order dated 30.01.2018. Despite all this, the Panchayat till date has not issued the trade licence to the petitioner, hence this petition. 4. Mr. Pankaj Vernekar, learned Counsel for the Panchayat states that the Panchayat will dispose of the petitioner's application for trade licence within two weeks. This statement is accepted. 5. However, as correctly pointed out by Mr. G. Teles, learned Counsel the disposal of the pending application would be that the Panchayat actually granted the trade licence to the petitioner in view of the order dated 15.10.2015 and 30.01.2018. 6. Accordingly, the petition is disposed of by directing respondent no.3-Panchayat to issue trade licence to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from today. 7. Rule is made absolute on the above terms. 8. There shall be no order as to costs. 9. All concerned to act on the basis of the authenticated copy of this order.
