JUDGMENT Sanjeev Sachdeva, J. - CONT.CAS(C) 689/2020 The hearing was conducted through video conferencing. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners contends that despite the respondents giving an undertaking to the Court on 25.02.2019 that a decision on the application of the petitioner for grant of recognition of M.Ed. course shall be taken within a period of 4 weeks, respondents have not taken a decision on the application and on the contrary, by Minutes of 203rd meeting held on 11th to 13th August, 2019, recorded that the application already stands rejected in the meeting held on 15th and 16th April, 2019. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the subject order dated 25.02.2019 was passed after a counter affidavit was filed by the respondents and nowhere in the counter affidavit was it brought on record that the application of the petitioner already stands rejected in the meeting held on 11th to 13th August, 2019 and rather the stand in the affidavit was that the application was under process. 4. Learned counsel appearing for the respondents submits that she has taken instructions and in view of the error pointed out, it has been decided to withdraw the rejection of the application by a decision taken on 15th and 16th April, 2019 and the consequential letter of the Regional Director dated 29.04.2019 (Annexure P-13). The statement is taken on record. 5. The rejection of the application by a decision taken on 15th and 16th April, 2019 and the consequential letter of the Regional Director dated 29.04.2019 (Annexure P-13) are permitted to be withdrawn. 6. In view the above, Respondents shall consider and process the application of the petitioner afresh and place the same for consideration of the Council in the very next meeting of the Council. 7. In view of the above directions, no further orders are called for in the petition. 8. Petition is, accordingly, disposed of. 9.
