JUDGMENT Tejinder Singh Dhindsa, J. - This case has been taken up through Video Conferencing via Webex facility in the light of Pandemic Covid-19 situation and as per instructions. 2. Petitioner seeks benefit of regular bail pending trial in FIR No.85 dated 08.07.2019 under Sections 22/29/61/15 of NDPS Act registered at Police Station Longowal, District Sangrur. 3. Counsel for the parties have been heard. 4. As per prosecution version the alleged recovery from the conscious possession of the petitioner was of 500 tablets of Clovidol. The recovery of 1740 tablets of Clovidol and one kg. poppy husk was from co-accused/nonapplicant. 5. Petitioner was arrested on 08.07.2019 and then was granted benefit of interim bail to await report of the chemical examiner on 14.08.2019. Petitioner thereafter surrendered upon presentation of the challan on 27.12.2019 and is in custody ever since. 6. The alleged recovery from the petitioner would be construed as non-commercial in nature. 7. Petitioner did not mis-use the concession of interim bail that had been granted to him earlier in point of time. 8. Petitioner is stated to be not involved in any other case under the NDPS Act. 9. Trial is at the very initial stage and would take time to conclude particularly in view of the current Covid-19 situation. 10. Without making any observations on merit, petitioner is held entitled to the benefit of bail. 11. Petitioner be enlarged on bail subject to his furnishing bail bonds/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the Trial Court/Duty Magistrate, Sangrur. 12. Disposed of.
