ORDER : T. Rajani, J. 1. This writ petition is filed, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking to declare the action of the respondents in not selecting and appointing the petitioner as Trained Graduate Teacher (Biological Science) in Zone-III in pursuance of Notification No. 1/2019, dated 14.2.2019 issued by the 2nd respondent, as illegal. 2. Heard the Counsel for the petitioner, the Government Pleader for Social Welfare and Sri G. Simhadri, Standing Counsel for APSWREIS appearing for the respondents. 3. The Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has applied for the post of TGT (Biological Science) in Zone-HI in pursuance of the Notification dated 14.2.2019. She has passed TET and C-TET, which is a better qualification than TET. The Counsel for the petitioner contends that as per the Notification, the candidates must have passed TET Paper-II conducted by State Government. On the other hand, the Standing Counsel submits that as per the proceedings issued by the Government of Andhra Pradesh School Education Department, TET is valid for a period of seven (7) years after passing the said examination. But, the Notification does not specify the same. The petitioner has passed TET and when the Notification says that candidates must have passed TET Paper-II conducted by State Government, the petitioner cannot be denied selection on the ground that the TET is valid for seven years only. However, the fact remains that the petitioner possesses a better qualification i.e., C-TET. The Standing Counsel submits that there are no vacancies as on today, which is opposed by the petitioner's Counsel. 4. Hence, in view of the above disputed fact, the respondents are directed to consider the case of the petitioner for appointment to the post of Trained Graduate Teacher (Biological Science) in Zone-III in the vacancies under Notification No.1/2019 if available or vacancies that have arisen thereafter. 5. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any pending, shall stand closed.
