JUDGMENT Jay Sengupta, J. - This is an application challenging the warrant of arrest issued against the accused/petitioner. 2. Mr. Imran Ali and Mrs. Debjani Sahu, learned advocates who are present in Court today and who ordinarily appear on behalf of the State are requested to represent the State in this case. Let a copy of the revisional application be served upon them in course of the day. Their engagement may be regularised by the competent authority of the State in due course. 3. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the accused/petitioner submits as follows. After being granted bail, the accused/petitioner appeared before the learned court regularly. On a single occasion steps could not be taken on his behalf before the learned trial court and a warrant of arrest was issued. He wants to join the proceeding at the earliest. 4. I have heard the submissions of the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the respective parties and have perused the revision petition. 5. In view of the above, let the warrant of arrest issued against the accused/petitioner remain stayed for a period of four weeks from this date. The petitioner shall surrender before the learned trial court within such period of four weeks. In the event the petitioner surrenders before the learned trial court within the said period of four weeks and prays for bail, his application for bail shall be considered in accordance with law. 6. With these observations, the revisional application is disposed of. 7. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order may be supplied to the parties expeditiously, if applied for.
