ORDER 1. We have heard Mr. Atul Babasaheb Dakh, learned counsel appearing for the appellant and Mr. Rahul Chitnis, learned counsel appearing for the respondent State of Maharashtra. 2. The appellant who is an accused in Regular Criminal Case No.653 of 2015 registered on the basis of FIR No.26 of 2015 for offences punishable under sections 498A, 506, 323, and 406 read with section 34 of the Indian Penal Code (for short, the IPC), has filed the present appeal by special leave. 3. Mr. Dakh, learned counsel appearing for the appellant, has submitted that the complainant wife - Shilpa and the husband - Ganesh Birajdar have already compromised the matter. 4. Mr. Chitnis, learned counsel appearing for the respondent-State, has also submitted that he has instructions to state that the husband has amicably compromised the matter with his wife. The State has no objection for quashing the aforesaid FIR registered against the present appellant. 5. Since the husband and the wife have amicably settled the matter, considering the fact that the appellant is a distant relative of the husband and wife, FIR No.26 of 2015 in Regular Criminal Case No.653 of 2015 is hereby quashed qua the appellant - Jairaj. 6. The instant appeal is disposed of in the above terms.
