JUDGMENT : DAYA CHAUDHARY, J. 1. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that earlier, the petitioner filed CWP No. 37568 of 2018 which was disposed of vide Order dated 08.03.2019 with a direction to respondent No. 1 to decide the Election Petition within the reasonable time period but still, the same has not been decided in spite of expiry of period of approximately one year thereafter. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied, in case, some specific time period is granted by this Court for taking action on the pending Election Petition. 3. Notice of motion. 4. On asking of the Court, Mr. Amit Mehta, Sr. D.A.G. Punjab, who is present in the Court, accepts notice on behalf of respondent-State. 5. The factum of filing earlier petition before this Court has not been disputed and it is, rather, clear from Order dated 08.03.2019 (Annexure P-3). 6. Keeping in view the limited prayer of learned counsel for the petitioner, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 2 to finally decide the pending Election Petition within a period of six weeks from today. 7. The petition is disposed of accordingly.
