JUDGMENT : HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI, J. 1. Learned counsel for the petitioners states that the claim, as raised in the present writ petition by the petitioners has already been allowed by this Court in CWP No. 22834 of 2013 titled as Nirmal Singh and Others vs. State of Punjab and Another decided on 22.03.2018. Learned counsel for the petitioners argues that though the petitioners are similarly situated as the petitioners in Nirmal Singh's case (supra) but the benefit of the said judgment has not been extended to the petitioner without any valid justification. 2. The prayer of the petitioners is for issuance of directions to the respondents to grant them the benefit as extended to the petitioners in Nirmal Singh's case (supra) forthwith. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioners states that for the relief, which is being claimed in the present writ petition, the petitioners have served the respondents with legal notice dated 15.07.2019 (Annexure P-12), which is still pending consideration with the respondents and the petitioners will be satisfied, at this stage, in case a time bound direction is issued to respondent No. 2 to decide the legal notice and pass an appropriate speaking order. 4. In view of the request made, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case or the claim being made by the petitioners, the respondent No. 2 is directed to decide the legal notice dated 15.07.2019 (Annexure P-12) by passing a speaking order within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. In case, it is found that the petitioners are entitled to any monetary benefits after the decision of the said legal notice, the same should also be paid to them within three months thereafter. 5. Present writ petition stands disposed of.
