JUDGMENT : Daya Chaudhary, J. C.M. No.3935 of 2020 1. This application has been moved for placing on record the copies of zimni orders as Annexure P-4 (colly). 2. C.M is allowed and Annexure P-4 (colly) is taken on record. CWP No.3672 of 2020 3. At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the Election Petition was filed on 13.02.2019 and thereafter, in spite of passing of more than one year, the same has not been decided so far, whereas, it should have been decided within a period of six months. Learned counsel also submits that there is no delay on the part of the petitioner. Learned counsel also submits that the petitioner would be satisfied, in case, the directions are issued by this Court to decide the Election Petition within some stipulated period. 4. Notice of motion to respondent No.1 only at this stage. 5. On asking of the Court, Mr. Amit Mehta, Sr. D.A.G., Punjab, who is present in the Court, accepts notice on behalf of respondent No.1- State. 6. Keeping in view the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner and having no objection from the other side, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1 to make all efforts to decide the Election Petition preferably on the next date of hearing or not more than a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order. 7. The petition is disposed of accordingly.
