JUDGMENT Avneesh Jhingan, J. - The matter is taken up for hearing through video conference due to COVID-19 situation. CRM-18642-2021 2. Application is allowed as prayed for. 3. Annexure P-4 is taken on record subject to all just exceptions. Main case 4. This is a petition for grant of regular bail in case of FIR No. 76 dated 3.3.2020, under Sections 420, 468, 471, 464, 465, 193, 120-B IPC and 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, registered at Police Station Rai, District Sonipat. 5. The facts in brief are that FIR was registered stating that a gang was operating to get insurance claims of cancer patients by changing cause of death as road-side accidents. 6. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner was not named in the FIR. The only role attributed is that during inquest proceedings he identified the dead body. Submission is that challan stands presented. 7. Learned State counsel opposes the prayer for grant of regular bail and submits that the matter is still under investigation. It is a big scam where frivolous insurance claims were made by colouring the death due to Cancer into Road Side Accident Death. 8. The petitioner was nephew of the deceased. The role attributed is that he identified the dead body. No recovery is to be made from the petitioner. Conclusion of trial is likely to take time. No useful purpose would be served by keeping the petitioner behind bars. The co-accused was granted bail by this Court The petitioner is granted bail on furnishing surety bonds to the satisfaction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate/ Duty Magistrate concerned. 9. The petition is allowed. 10. It is clarified that the observations made hereinabove shall not be construed as an expression of opinion on the merits of the case.
