JUDGMENT Avneesh Jhingan, J. - The matter is taken up for hearing through video conference due to COVID-19 situation. 2. This petition was filed for issuance of directions to the official respondents for protection of life and liberty of the petitioners from the private respondents arrayed in the petition. 3. Xxx xxx xxxx 4. As per the pleadings, the petitioners had performed marriage against the wishes of their parents, hence, there is a threat perception. 5. On 26th July, 2021, the following order was passed:- " The matter is taken up for hearing through video conference due to COVID-19 situation. Notice of motion to respondents No. 1 to 3 only at this stage. Ms. Dimple Jain, AAG, Haryana, appearing on advance notice accepts the same and seeks time to have instructions. Put up on 10.8.2021. In the meantime, the police official not below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police should record the statements of the petitioners. In case a request is made by the petitioners, they may be provided shelter in safe house till the next date." 6. Learned State counsel has filed a status report by way of an affidavit of Sultan Singh, HPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ambala Hqs, District Ambala annexing the statements of the petitioners as well as the parents of petitioner No.1. The same is taken on record. 7. It is stated in the statements that there is no threat perception. 8. In view of the status report filed, no cause of action survives for pursuing the present petition. 9. Disposed of as infructuous.
