JUDGMENT 1. By this petition, the petitioner has sought quashing and setting aside of the appointment of the respondent Nos. 2 and 3 to the post of Supervisor, by the respondent No.1. In addition to the said prayer, the petitioner has also sought a direction commanding the respondent No.1 to fill up the posts of Supervisor by constituting a DPC strictly in terms of the recruitment rules. 2. Learned counsel appearing for the respondent No.1-Corporation of the City of Panaji on the last date tendered a copy of the order dated 08.12.2021 by which the appointment of Shri Fakirappa Subhash Talgeri to the post of Supervisor, was revoked. As far as the respondent No.2 is concerned, she was appointed on humanitarian/compassionate ground. Learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, states that the petitioner does not intend to challenge the appointment of the respondent No.2, considering her appointment to the said post was on humanitarian/compassionate ground. 3. In view of the aforesaid, the grievance of the petitioner does not survive and as such, the petition stands disposed of. It is made clear that future appointments to the post of Supervisor shall be made by the respondent No.1, in accordance with law. 4. The petition is disposed of accordingly. 5. All parties to act on the authenticated copy of this order.
